Food Passion Photography
Food has always been more than just a subject to me, I genuinely love it, and I love my tummy too! Before becoming a professional photographer, I spent around 10 years working as a chef, so I understand food from a completely different perspective. I know how much work goes into preparing a dish, how important presentation is, and how quickly the perfect moment can disappear once a plate leaves the kitchen.
Today, I have combined my experience in the kitchen with my passion for photography to create professional food photography in Malta that brings together food, light, composition and creativity. My aim is simple: to make people look at a photograph and immediately want to taste what they see. I photograph food for restaurants, cafés, hotels, bars, chefs, catering companies, food businesses and hospitality brands across Malta and Gozo, creating images suitable for websites, menus, social media, advertising, delivery platforms and promotional campaigns. Good food photography is not simply about placing a plate in front of a camera; it is about understanding the food, choosing the right angle, controlling the light, capturing texture and colour, and showing the dish at its most appetising moment.
My experience as a chef helps me understand plating, ingredients, presentation and the small details that can make a dish look truly inviting. Whether it is a beautifully plated main course, a traditional Maltese dish, a burger, pizza, pasta, dessert, breakfast, cocktail or a complete restaurant setting, I work to create natural, appetising and professional images that represent the quality of the food and the personality of the business. I also enjoy photographing the atmosphere around the food and the restaurant interior, tables, drinks, chefs at work and the experience surrounding the meal, because great hospitality photography should communicate more than just what is on the plate. It should make people imagine themselves sitting at the table.
From food photography in Valletta and Sliema to restaurants, cafés, hotels and food businesses throughout Malta and Gozo, my goal is to create mouth-watering imagery that helps businesses present their food professionally and attract more customers. Whether you need a complete menu photography session, hero images for your signature dishes, food photography for social media, restaurant photography, food and beverage photography or fresh images for your website and marketing, I combine my background in food with my professional photography experience to create images that look as good as the food tastes.
